We follow the NSW Public School Calendar that runs for 41 weeks. Children can attend between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are Closed School Holidays and Public Holidays

Educators will comfort your child and help them to become engaged in programme activities and develop a sense of trust.  Educators will work in partnership with families to identify areas and supports that allow for a smooth transition between home and preschool. We will contact families if children are upset for a more extended period.

During orientations, educators will discuss your child’s needs and interests with you, so your child has the best preschool experience possible. They will also liaise with you and other professionals when working with your child. Our professional educational team has experience developing individual learning plans to support your child’s development, and we have established relationships with local support services.

During orientation, the director will discuss if your child has any additional health, diet or medical needs that need to be recognised and supported. The preschool has policies and procedures in place to ensure that your child’s health and safety are protected in consultation with you, educators will put management plans in place to manage medical conditions and control risks.

We hold families and communities in high regard and support family and community involvement at TDP. You’re welcome to be a part of your child’s learning journey and be actively involved in many ways; your involvement will help our community preschool continue to thrive. Participation can range from joining the board of directors, which is elected annually, to supporting our fundraising ventures, assisting educators with community events, and sharing your expertise, culture, or passion, e.g., playing a musical instrument or cooking food from your home culture.

Our younger rooms do have a rest time; we discuss with families the need for children’s sleep. In our older rooms, children are provided with quiet activities and the opportunity to rest if tired.
