Child Safety

Our Commitment to Child Safety

Taree and District Preschool is committed to child safety. We want children to be safe, happy, and empowered. We support and respect all children, as well as our staff and volunteers. We are committed to the safety, participation, and empowerment of all children.

Creating a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment

We want to provide a learning environment that is both child-friendly and safe, where children can actively participate in decisions that affect their lives. We are committed to delivering and promoting cultural safety for First Nations children, cultural safety for children from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.

Responsibilities and Reporting

The educational team has a complete understanding of their responsibilities and obligations as mandatory reporters and is committed to acting in the best interests of children to keep them safe in alignment with the Child Safe Standards and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. We are committed to creating a culture whereby the prevention and reporting of abuse are supported and encouraged. Volunteers and visitors at TDP will be made aware of their responsibilities and obligations regarding child safety.
